Had some access problems this morning, so NONE of the dailies were updated.

Went to Freak Day at the Zoo yesterday. I anticipated it sucking, as DJs Ian Fford and Loss of Signal pretty much wiped me out by playing kick butt sets all-freakin-night. But I had a faboo time, and drinks and snacks with everyone were a bonus high point. Pictures TK.

Can I tell you my coworkers rock?

This morning one girl pops into my office and asks if paid for my drinks - at a coworkers birthday boozing - on Friday. I told her dropped a $20 to cover my beers, tip, and part of whatever the birthday girl was having. What does she do? Pulls outa $10 and says "you paid way too much. Here's your change."

Not a huge thing, but was very cool. One of the reasons I really enjoy working here.

Born on May 4 at 7:50 AM. 7 lbs, 8.5 ozs, 20 inches. This is, my sister, Julie's second baby.

Unless i go to Atlanta I can't see the show.

Current Music: Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - Murder Ballads

Been listening to Nick Cave's - Murder Ballads for the first time in years. Y'know, if you cut Stagger Lee & O'Malley's it's a really strong album. They're alright enough songs, but they stick out, and really just drag the album down for me.

Here's something I didn't know. Warren Ellis is part of "The Moron Tabernacle Choir" on The Curse of Millhaven.

Ellis is an interesting example of recurring thread. He's a guy who I liked a lot before I knew he was. I was exposed to a bunch of his work, because he was interacting with other people I like. For example I picked up Sugarvirus, because I was a fan of John Bolton's paintings. I didn't even know Ellis wrote it until about 2 months ago.

As I go through old liner notes and comics I wonder who has been with me for years, without me ever realizing it.
